So far the response to the call for submissions has been outstanding - we have received work from all manner of artist. We do need to remind people, though, that we are a photo-based gallery and as such are looking for only that type of work. We need more, we want to see what everyone out there has to offer. We know it is hard to submit to a gallery that is not even open yet, but trust us, it’s coming soon!
With our first show opening April 10th, we only 3 weeks left to finish the space. But, as you can see from Sean’s pictures, we are getting close. Everything has been primed and the first coat of paint is on the ceiling. Another day of painting, install the lights, lay the floor and most of the big stuff is done.
If all goes well, we will also finish the floating wall and have a proper desk and counter. The front is going to be an area for portfolios with stools for seating. We may even put in a bench. Get the computer in, set up phone and internet, get the credit/debit terminal.
We might just have ourselves a fancy little space come April 
Finally we managed to get the sign put up, so people now know what is going on at 1332 Queen Street West. Lots of people stopped to ask us about the gallery, since they know it is a gallery now, due to the sign.
Can’t believe that between 5 photographers, none of us had a camera. But Mat did manage to snap a shot with his crackberry and post it to Flickr.
